I heard of the new signage and hours, so on my most recent visit (Oct 5) I
waited until after 8am (I posted some photos).
The eBird "about" page is not an official reporting of how things are....we
can update that to reflect the new hours (I believe I submitted the change
to the reviewer).
I'd say we accept, adopt, and adhere to the hours stated on the sign as
well as the new signage inside of the facility -- we don't want to lose
access to this site! Technically you could get there earlier than 8am and
walk the entrance road outside of the fence and scan into the facility. BUT
if you want to go inside the gate to view the ponds, then you should plan
for 8am or later.
