As we all know, we are experiencing some of the hottest weather ever for
early October. It seems wrong to most of us, and perhaps the birds feel
the same way........whatever the cause, today was the slowest day of the
season, with only 7 birds banded:
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1 (our second of the season, the other was caught on
Saturday)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2
Spotted Towhee 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 2
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

Bander, Barr Lake Station
