I m just back to Santa Cruz having driven Saturday afternoon and this morning on Sandy Mush Road. Today about 0930 hundreds (I lost count at 250) of Sandhill Cranes in dairy field east of wildlife entrance adjacent to Sandy Mush Road. Flying in as I sat in car. Mid afternoon on Saturday a thousand ibis fed in a field just N of Merced Wildlife entrance. Today at 0900, 200 ibis east of rt 59 along Sandy Mush Road east of the big dairy.
