Subject: [cobirds] (Mountain) Birds of a Feather - SW Denver
To continue the "Mountain Birds in the Plains" thread, the (?) female
EVENING GROSBEAK seen last week and heard a few times since here in the
Athmar Park/Huston Park neighborhood (SW Denver, Denver Co.) returned this
morning (Tues., 6 Oct'26), but this time was with three (3) CASSIN'S FINCHs.
First heard the grosbeak calling off in the distance, but then picked up the
Cassin's calling before they all flew over our yard together giving good
looks. You know how you bump into someone you know at a concert, then end
up hanging out with them for the rest of the show.thinking this might be a
similar situation. In addition like many of you, we had a couple of
TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIREs bounce through yard last night, so they are back too.

Good Mtn Birding,

Doug
