- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S399554386
- Media: 4 Photos
- Comments: "The identifying marks for me were the dingy/dusky dark underwings, mostly dark with a very slight paler patch in the center, the black head that extended slightly below the eye, the lack of eye arcs or spectacles, the black/dark brown back, a longish bill and longish tail. Lacks white wedge in front of the eye often seen on a Scripp’s. The birds were in pairs and in deep water. I saw them in flight and recall a bright underbelly but no white underwing. See the photos below taken by Ben."

- Comments: "Spotted soaring with TUVU’s while driving and quickly pulled over. Appears to be a subadult bird. Watched for about three minutes before it flew directly inland."

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S399566047
- Media: 7 Photos, 2 Audio
- Comments: "*Rare but regular. One bird heard initially and then seen well deep in the willow understory on the west side of the maintenance road. I assume this is another new bird. This was a relatively large warbler with a long, mostly dark bill as well as a dark eye. The crown was a muddy brown color, as was the eye stripe, nape, back, and tail, the latter of which was also rather short. The long supercilium that extended past the eye, cheek, throat, breast, and underparts were all a pale buffy color, and all extensively streaked, though the throat and cheek more finely so. The legs and feet were a dull fleshy pink. The tail was bobbed incessantly. This bird was quite vocal, giving the loud explosive “chink” or “pink” chip calls characteristic of this species. Photos and recordings tba."

Black-and-white Warbler (Mniotilta varia) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Oct 05, 2026 07:01 by Kilian Hampl

- Media: 4 Photos
- Comments: "*Continuing AHY female/HY male (likely latter) on the maintenance road. Small lanky warbler with thin slightly curved mostly darker bill, dark eye, black and white striped crown, grayish cheek, white throat, white underparts with moderate black streaking on flanks, breast sides, and undertail coverts, black and white striped back, mostly darker bill wing with white double wingbars, bold white tertial edges, largely darker tail, and dark legs and feet. Creeping along branches like a nuthatch or wren as is typical of this species. Silent. Photos"

Orange-crowned Warbler (sordida) (Leiothlypis celata sordida) (4) CONFIRMED
- Reported Oct 05, 2026 07:01 by Kilian Hampl
- Pismo SB--Oceano Campground, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.6265268&<ll...>,-120.6265268

- Media: 17 Photos
- Comments: "*Expected. At least 4-5, with one at the Native Garden, one on the peninsula, one near the maintenance road, and 1-2 on Norswing drive trail south of main entrance. Very dull dusky olive Orange-crowned with large bills, greener supraloral, variably greener upper and paler lower eye arcs, “large-headed” appearance, diffusely streaked breast, “vested” appearance, and variably brighter green underparts extensively streaked olive. Several heard giving metallic lower-pitched chip calls typical of this subspecies/type. Photos tba, see media notes for additional comments."

American Redstart (Setophaga ruticilla) (1)
- Reported Oct 05, 2026 17:47 by Pair of Wing-Nuts
- Morro Strand State Beach, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.8678892&<ll...>,-120.8678892
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S399730020
- Media: 1 Audio
- Comments: "Heard this bird chip calling as we were finishing our visit. Likely a continuing bird (Tom Edell 10.02.26) but the only visuals we had were of the small bird, back light and flitting high in the willows almost non-stop at the south end of the campground. The low light of dusk prevented any views of color. Luckily the bird was vocalizing along with chattering from a nearby Ruby-crowned Kinglet and calls from Chestnut-backed Chickadees and Anna's Humingbirds."
