This morning, the adult male Eurasian Wigeon in eclipse plumage was still among American Wigeons at the pump house on the Nob Hill Pond in Redwood Shores. At midday,I did a short skywatch looking for raptors at home in Redwood Shores. There were the expected Turkey Vulture, Red-tailed Hawk and Cooper's Hawk. A nice surprise wasa light-morph adult Swainson's Hawk southbound low overhead. Yesterday in South San Francisco, a Brewer's Sparrow was with several Savannah Sparrows along the SanFrancisco Bay Trail near the footbridge. Access to the trail was from the end of Colma Creek Service Road off of Harbor Way and Littlefield Avenue.
