Along the line of Mark's comments. When eBird's spring Global Big Day began
a decade ago, the Arizona Field Ornithologists merged its statewide
coordination of the North American Migration Count into the spring GBD
count. It coordinates the annual count on a county-wide basis. The reports
and data from both the NAMC and GBD counts since 2004 are posted on the
AZFO's website
<https://url.usb.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/o5jmCg7WAOIKkDRwOcNfkLs46DBF?<domain...>.
The next count is May 8, 2027. Arizona is one of the few states where there
is organized participation in the spring GBD. The AZFO has not coordinated
any fall migration counts.
Best,
Doug Jenness
Arizona state coordinator of GBD count
