Hey Tweets...I was fortunate to be on a raptor survey with Dan Varland this morning when we saw a large sub-adult female Peales Peregrine. It was pretty heavy fog and the sun was right above the distant tree-line somewhere close to the Ocean City beach access I think..pretty hard to tell where we were. We circled around to see her breast markings without the sun in our eyes and Dan should have some good photos at about 50 ft. The thing that struck all four of us was how big she was. She was very cooperative and we got about five minutes to watch her watching us before she took off north. It has been a long time since Dan has seen a peregrine out here. Dianna Moore
