Ian and their friends have a pretty good group of students (and maybe faculty?) working with administration to try to get something done. They’re tracking window strikes with species, counts, and which buildings are the cause. Sounds like majority of last night’s were around the stadium, continuing after sun-up. There is also an iNat project going https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/unl-window-collisions if you want to contribute.

Subject: [NEBirds] window strike victims UNL campus
Hello birders,
Oh my god, Ian N.'s checklist from today at UNL Campus has a horrific number of window strike victims from last night's massive migration. Does anyone know if all these birds were next to the same or different buildings? Are they still there? SOMETHING needs to happen to prevent this carnage in the future!
