Date: 10/3/26 2:47 pm From: 'Steve Mirick' via NHBirds <nhbirds...> Subject: [NHBirds] Coastal Field Trip for Seacoast Audubon (Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Dickcissels, and 10 species of warblers)
Jane and I, assisted by Ashton Almeida and Holly Bauer, led a bird walk
today for the Seacoast Chapter of NH Audubon.
https://www.seacoastchapter.org/
Most of the trip was spent on a long walk around Odiorne Point State
Park, but we offered a trip extension to Goss Farm in Rye. The weather
was sunny, calm, and seasonal with a bit of a seabreeze toward the end.
Like last year, there were very few migrating birds except for a couple
of Common Loons, a couple of hawks and a couple of small flocks of
migrating cormorants. Odiorne Point State Park was kind of slow for
migrants, but there some and we managed to dig out a decent variety!
Highlights were the Yellow-billed Cuckoos and the small numbers of
warblers and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. Highlights at Goss Farm were the
continuing Dickcissels, a beautiful Bobolink, and a fantastic group of 4
Rusty Blackbirds!
