Subject: [Ohio-birds] Clinton county solar farm birding
Well, we need our electric! But boy was that a massive construction zone. Shorebirds
Have been taking advantage of the wet and flooded fields and ponds there. I only had golden plover, But it is late in the shorebird season. I probably won’t be back there til next spring. I wish
There were more managed shorebird spots down here in SW Ohio! This is a different
Year too with all the rain. The rivers are flooded. And other areas like pond edges.
We are relying on construction zones……

Hopefully I find a shorebird spot down here for my brown county big year next year!

East fork riparian area in Clinton was slow. Or there wasn’t much around! The butterflies
There were great though! My fos checkered skipper.

I haven’t been thinking salamanders for awhile. Maybe I should be! There’s a stream crossing
There that could be productive for that.
