Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] "inland" Sabines, returning American Redstart and hybrid Hermit X Townsends
The juvenile Sabines Gull that Matt has been seeing for a number of days now in the interior Salt Works is currently (9:20 AM, Saturday) sitting on one of the salt-mud Islands in the middle of pond 23 at the end of 10th Street, so certainly visible nicely with a scope. Also one continuing Lesser Yellowlegs on Stint Island.

Earlier in the morning, I had the now returning for at least 4 years adult male American Redstart at Seaport Village, as in recent years likes the little trees right around the artificial pond next to the Malibu Farms restaurant. Quite photogenic. And the returning also for about four or so years now spiffy male hybrid Hermit X Townsend's Warbler continues at Spreckels Park in Coronado, usually in the northern half of the park.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
