Weather:
Light variable west wind becoming cloudy with haze as cold front
approached.

Raptor Observations:
Excellent looks at todays adult Peregrine Falcon in the afternoon. Two
sharp-shins made passes at the decoy owl.

Non-raptor Observations:
Porcupine hung out along the lookout trail for the entire day to the
delight of many.

Monarchs 10. Great Horned Owl duet and Barred Owl calling at daybreak.
Chimney Swift, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Red-headed, Red-bellied, Downy and
Hairy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Eastern Phoebe,
Blue-headed and Red-eyed Vireo, Blue Jay (45), Common Raven (17), Ruby and
Golden-crowned Kinglet, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Purple Finch, American
Goldfinch (62), Chipping and White-throated Sparrow, Tennessee, Cape May,
Magnolia, Bay-breasted, Black-throated Blue and Green, and Yellow-rumped
Warblers, Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting.

Predictions:
Mostly sunny with N wind 5-10mph.
