Hi OKBIRDS,
This morning, Friday, 2 October, was quite productive for migrant birding at Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown OKC. The highlights were a late RED-EYED VIREO (photographed at close range) and 8 spp. of warblers incl. 2 OVENBIRDS, latish BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER and AMERICAN REDSTART. I had numerous NASHVILLE (9) and WILSON’S WARBLERS (10+) virtually all over the gardens. One of the better days this fall so far for diversity and quantity of migrant landbirds here.
