Next week the Sioux Falls Bird Club will have two events.
Tuesday, Oct. 6, 7:00 p.m. - our fall business meeting. We will quickly talk about our club finances, our Christmas Bird Counts this upcoming winter, next year's field trip schedule, and more, then enjoy a presentation from member Scott Leuning about a trip to Africa he took earlier this year. All told, these meetings usually last a little over an hour.
Saturday, Oct. 10, 8:00 a.m. - our monthly field trip. We'll meet at the Outdoor Campus East (4500 S Oxbow Ave) to organize carpooling, and then will head west of town to Wall Lake, Dewey Gevik Nature Area, and other wetlands to look for migrating sparrows, gulls, late warblers, and other birds. We will likely walk some of the trail at Dewey Gevik, but for those who don't wish to walk much, there are ample opportunities to view birds from the observation deck and bird blind near the parking lot. We'll aim to return to the OC around midday.
You do not need to be a club member to attend either event, all are welcome!
