Initially flushed from almost underfoot as I was setting up to hawkwatch on top of the hill. It was ranging widely around the grasslands on the west side; very flighty and taking off several times when hikers approached. Last seen flying up into the Monterey Pine along Museum Way just as the street ends at the museum parking lot.
