Observers:
Visitors: Professor Julian Avery brought up his class for about an hour or so. Good group of kids who showed a lot of interest. They got to see 5 migrating raptors (3x SSHA, COHA, RTHA) as well as a good show of vultures. They also helped me juice the stats on LFEs (Lantern Flies Eliminated)
Weather: mid 60s to low 70s with a weak breeze from the South-southwest. Sunny to overcast.
Raptor Observations: Not as slow as I thought it'd be given the wind and last few days, although still not too great of a day. Non-migrating: Turkey Vultures (last day), Black Vultures, 1 resident Juvenile Bald Eagle, one resident Red-tail
Non-raptor Observations: Non-raptors: Killdeer (heard), Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Flickers, Blue Jays (some with acorns), Am. Crow, Ravens, Chickadees, Starlings, Robin, Waxwing, Goldfinch, Towhee. Warblers: Flock in early afternoon in mountain ash - Tennessee, Cape May, Parula, Blackpoll, Yellow-rump, Black-throated Green. Cool Bugs: Stick bug, multiple Katydids, caterpillars Uncool Bugs: Spotted Lanternflies (LFE: 15), Stinkbugs (Pee-yew!)
Predictions: Similar conditions to today. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Connor Schmitt (<cschmitts12...>)
