Subject: [CT Birds] Coastal Center
9/30 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 10am-1PM. overcast, 68F,
mid-tide rising.
Many visitors today, especially after Frank Mantlik's 9am bird walk.
On the marsh: About 20 DC Cormorants, 6 Snowy Egrets, 4 Great Egrets, 21
American Black ducks, 1 Great blue heron, 1 Red Tailed hawk and 1 Northern
Harrier flyover, 2 Mute swans. 1 of the Ring billed gulls was bathing in
the marsh water.
On the grounds and feeders: 1 Catbird, 1 Mockingbird, 2 Blue jays, 2 House
finches, 1 American Crow and 2 Mourning doves.
