This morning, there was a Clay-colored Sparrow at the Nob Hill Pond in Redwood Shores. It was foraging on the ground among the low Sweet Fennel along the publicaccess trail just past the corner house. It was flushed a number of times, and did fly off towards the direction of the pump house. There were ( 5 ) Blue-winged Tealand a record high number for the pond ( 43 ) Cinnamon Teal. Some of the Cinnamon Teal were along Phelps Slough. Early this morning during a skywatch from home in Redwood Shores, a group of ( 41 ) Vaux's Swifts were southbound. There has not been much in the diversity of migrants along the bayside. Orange-crowned andWilson's Warblers have been way below average. Where the opposite, Western Flycatcher has been way above average. Coming in second place has been ChippingSparrow.
