- Comments: "Overall grayish body, black face with white cheeks and some yellow on crown. More compact in structure compared to nearby Black-crowned Night Herons.
First reported yesterday, 27 Sep 2026, by Yamina Pressler upstream of the Cypress Street bridge near Addie Street; continued this morning."

- Comments: "Continuing bird originally found by Jim Royer this morning. Bird was located by other birders that were already on site and on the bird. The bird popped out briefly from the dense thicket right at the fence line with the putting green. I got good views, and a few bad pictures of the bird. bright yellow head and breast was visible. yellow extended to the flanks. Olive green black that contrasted nicely with the dark wings and tail. No wingbars. Undertail coverts and vent area were white."

Quickly made its way through vegetation along fence line to Solano St, where I lost it. Uniform dull green passerine with slightly paler underside, finch-like bill and large black eye with fairly prominent pale eyering. Silent."
