I was two wine glasses down when our waiter said “hey man, is that a Bald Eagle?” I had my binoculars and said “oh shit, those are California Condors!” Two were soaring with Turkey Vultures. Huge birds. Noticeably larger than TUVU. All black underneath with white secondary and primary coverts (opposite wing pattern of TUVU) Stoked."

Found it skulking in the undergrowth around here (35.3168961, -120.8532823) off the right side path as accessed from Solano St. I spotted it as it walked from the ground up a large fallen branch and got good unobstructed views of it from roughly 2 yards away. Olive brown above with white below streaked with black. The two bold black stripes on the sides of the crown immediately suggested that it was not a hermit/Swainson’s thrush. Crown was slightly orange and it had a white eye ring. As I watched I also noted the walking and bobbing gait that separates it from other thrushes. The whole experience lasted less than 30 seconds before it jumped out of sight and back into denser underbrush. Silent and no photos."

Something jumped in front of me first thought it was a hermit thrush and then lost sight of the redstart so I switched to look at what I thought was a hermit thrush. It hopped onto a log and at first view I was like that’s an ovenbird the first thing I noticed is a smaller size a reddish medium orangish crown with dark lines on either side, dark lines on the white chest, bold white eye ring, had a view for about 20 seconds could not get a picture off before I lost it (fail) and it carried off into the thick under brush. Found it later with Will and Virginia noticed it was walking around on the ground amongst the understory."

Bird was around here (35.3167628, -120.8529802) on the edge of the small green of sea pine’s golf course. Spotted as it was flying from in and around the ivy covered fence down to the ground to grab bugs. Several brief views as it repeated this, then it flew to a willow branch nearby and stopped to eat a worm which allowed better views. Warber shaped with bright yellow body, greenish back, white undertail, and blue/gray wings. Beady black eye."

Yellow head; yellow unmarked face; indistinct eyering; dark eye; relatively long, pointed dark bill; yellow breast, belly and flanks; white vent and undertail covert; yellow-green back; slate-gray wings; no wingbars; relatively short slate-gray tail; dark legs and feet. - In flight the spread tail showed white panels. --- Observed in the vegetation at the golf course fence line."

- Comments: "Continuing… originally found by Jim Royer earlier today. Carol Comeau relocated it and we all had a distant view of it on the trunk of a Cypress at the hole #1 on the golf course. We got better views along the fence line at the open lot on Pecho Rd. It was sitting on the frisbee golf stand. Appears to be a female/immature warbler with a slightly dullish yellow head with dark eye, a large bill, olive back, blue-gray wings, yellow chest and belly, and a white undertail. Photos"
