Hello Fellow Woburnites!
I hope this email finds you well after the weekend, Nor'easter!
I'm pleased to announce that the Friends of Horn Pond is sponsoring a
2-hour trash cleanup at Horn Pond on Saturday morning October 10 from
9:00AM-11:00AM. All ages are welcome, and all supplies will be provided.
The starting point is Ice House Park on Sturgis St. The focus will be on
trash items found along the walkways, grass areas, benches, and shorelines
around the main pond and the lagoon loop trail. Specific trash items of
interest are paper, plastics, fishing line, cigarette butts, cans, and
bottles. Please feel free to share this event and flier widely with your
family, friends, neighbors, and community groups. We're hoping for a big
turnout for a big impact! Special thanks to Julie Gershon for creating a
fantastic flier!
