The wind overnight calmed down for the morning banding session. Nine bird species were captured with a Blue Jay being the first of the season. A Hammond's Flycatcher was in the vicinity of the banding station. *22 New Banded Birds* Wilson's Warbler- 3 Oregon (Dark-eyed) Junco- 1 Lincoln's Sparrow- 1 Blue Grosbeak- 1 Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow- 8 Spotted Towhee- 1 Gray Catbird- 1 Blue Jay- 1 Hermit Thrush- 5
*2 Recaptures* Spotted Towhee- 2
The Banding Station will be open tomorrow through Friday Weather permitting from sunrise until @ 11:45AM. Please register if interested in visiting the ranch at www.aikenaudubon.com
