Yesterday morning I went to Charlton Flat to hike up to the Vetter Mtn fire lookout. The peak itself was a bit sleepy, but Charlton Flat was very birdy.
One Evening Grosbeak flew across the trail right in front of me on the way up but I couldn't find it after that. Too fast to get a photo.
On the way back down, just as I was photoing a Pine Siskin around 34.292821, -118.012741 a totally silent flock of 25 Clark's Nutcrackers caught me off guard but managed to get a few shots.
