Comparatively long wings for tiny body and head, with very short tails held tightly in a blunted point. Very bat-like flight. Possible pics to be added later. Steve spotted first in trees on west side of road right at first creek crossing and then it flew around a series of locations within a ~30' area including in trees directly along the road. This is about 0.1 mile downhill from some of the other recent reports. No vocalizations. Will upload photos if I got any clear ones."

- Comments: "First heard an abundance of loud nasal calls high above the Stow House and immediately saw large faintly pale blue jays with very long wings and short tails flying in a scattering but cohesive flock. The overall plumage was drab and uniform. The wings were very long and accentuated by their strong and stiff flapping style. It appeared as if they were considering landing in the ornamental trees surrounding the house but decided to continue moving Northwest towards the foothills. I blasted some photos and made the count from those but there are likely tens more."

They helped me get eyes on it, allowing for good views and confirmation of the identification. Showing a streaked brownish back, pale underparts with fine streaking, two pale wingbars, and a distinct pale eyebrow. It was actively moving through the vegetation and foraging before disappearing from view. Photos will be posted later. (34.4212159, -119.6568760)"

- Comments: "Photos. Seems to be non-breeding female. Heavy dark streaking right across buffy breast. Right after it landed on the birdbath, a female Black-headed landed next to it, then left immediately. RBGR Stayed for 10 or so minutes, very wary of bathing, but finally got into it."
