Visitors: Had several visitors: Patti Gray (who recently retired from Shaver's Creek), Carter and his high school friend, Ethan stopped by on their way home from the Stone Mountain Watch, a family of four that included two high school aged students, a couple from Pittsburgh, visiting Penn State for a seminar and came to Mifflin County wanting to check out the Goose Day happenings and Rosemary McMasters from the Altoona area. She was one of my college roommates.
Weather: Very brisk day, with clouded skies that became completely overcast and rain moved in at 2:30. Winds with stronger gust throughout the day. Variable directions: NW, NNW and N.
Raptor Observations: Observed our local residents: a Bald Eagle, Red-tailed hawks, and Turkey Vultures
Non-raptor Observations: The usual including Blue Jays, Chimney Swifts, Cedar Wax-Wings and Ravens.
