Weather: Mostly sunny skies with temps reaching 72 degrees (real feel in the 60s). Nor'easter on the east coast brought breezy conditions; NE-N winds averaging 10-13 mph with higher gusts. Coats, gloves, and hats were donned by some, especially once the platform was in shade.
Raptor Observations: Great look at the day's first bird of the count: a low-flying adult Peregrine Falcon that soared several times by the platform before clearing the tree line. Later that hour, a juvenile Peregrine passed through.
A lot of RTHA and BAEA activity in the area throughout the day; somewhat distracting as counters tried to assess migration. At least 3 RTHA (2 adult, 1 juv) and 4 BAEA (3 adult, 1 im) not counted. Local TVs and BVs also present.
