Weather: Windy day on the mountain with high clouds and temps in the fifties. The wind was from the northeast yet again. Beautiful sundogs and halos around the sun, looking like rainbows.
Raptor Observations: Relatively quiet day with not many birds on the wing, although we did see nine different species. One handful of broad-wings came by late in the morning, and a few Ospreys and harriers kept us entertained in the afternoon. The single Red-shouldered Hawk was a lovely adult. Non-migrating raptors consisted of a sharpie, red-tail, Turkey Vulture, and two Bald Eagles.
Non-raptor Observations: Six geese flying above Crotched Mountain in the morning. Blue-headed Vireo still hanging around.
Blue Jays: 11/56
