Visitors: 11 visitors today at the south lookout, plus about 30 very fun sixth graders. Joined by James and Maura Diehl in the morning.
Weather: 45-64 degrees F, ~15% cloud cover, east winds with gusts up to 18.
Raptor Observations: Bald eagle (1): 0918a
Slower day. John, Paul, George, and Ringo the black vultures were back today, showing off for the field trip kids. They also were pumped to see turkey vultures, red-tailed hawks, broad-wings, Cooper�s, and an adult bald eagle that unfortunately didn�t come very close. An adult peregrine with very worn feathers was my first bird today.
Non-raptor Observations: Big flock of over 50 blue jays got the kids very excited. One of them found a stick bug, which got me very excited.
