Hi Birders!
Yesterday afternoon at Chilao up the Manzanita road and past the bathroom at campsite #7, I heard two distant calling Evening Grosbeaks. It was about 3:00pm. We also heard one Red-breasted Nuthatch. We made several stops along the Crest - negative for Pinyon jays and nutcrackers. We drove as far as the road closure. Two White-crowned Sparrows made an appearance at the Clear Creek Ranger shack.
