Yesterday saw the arrival of migrants along the bayside. At Coyote Point County Park, there was a Chestnut-sided Warbler in the grove of Eucalyptus Trees along the publicaccess trail that leads down to the freshwater marsh. Other migrants at the point were a Northern Flicker, ( 2 ) Western Wood-Pewees, Western Warbling Vireo, AmericanPipit with a large group of House Finches in a field above the museum, ( 5 ) Red-breasted Nuthatches, White-breasted Nuthatch NOT OFTEN noted along the bay at the point,( 7 ) Northern Yellow Warblers and ( 12 ) White-crowned Sparrows. On the bay mudflats, the first arrival I have noted was an adult Herring Gull. In Foster City along part of theSan Francisco Bay Trail were a Say's Phoebe, Western Flycatcher, ( 5 ) Yellow-rumped Warblers, ( 4 ) Northern Yellow Warblers, ( 2 ) Chipping Sparrows, Lincoln's Sparrow,( 8 ) White-crowned Sparrows and a Western Tanager. At the Nob Hill Pond in Redwood Shores, a Yellow-breasted Chat popped into view at the northwest corner of thepond., There were also ( 3 ) Northern Yellow Warblers and a Townsend's Warbler.
