Visitors: Bob McLaughlin joined us for a while today and helped with spotting. Carol Braceland added her eyes to the mix and helped find the elusive raptors against the blue sky.
Weather: Cool with winds out of the ENE all day ranging from 5-8 mph steady winds with gusts up to at least 15 mph if not more. Sun with few clouds to help with ID. Temps ranging from 50 - 63 degrees F but felt much colder with the winds and sitting in the shade.
Raptor Observations: Steady flow for the morning that tapered off in the afternoon. Great view of one BW that flew low and directly across our viewing area. Early birds were low and well below the horizon on the southern side of the ridge. As the day went on, the birds got much higher in the clear blue sky.
Non-raptor Observations: N. Flicker, Swifts, Swallows, 11 Can. Geese in formation, Raven, TV, BV, BJays, Cardinal, Hummingbird, Cedar Waxwing.
