A push of redstart seems underway since last night with several reports this morning:
- 2 (potentially 3) female types in different parts of North Lake - A bright male at Middle Lake (reported by a birder named Chris) - Another bright male reported by David W at the Calliope Tree
North Lake was very active this morning with the following species (on top of the Red-eyed Vireo David A just reported that I didn't see)
- CANADA WARBLER continuing on the east side of the lake (37.7697683, -122.5018867), very skulky - Willow Flycatcher, Western Wood-Pewees, a ton of Western Flycatchers - Western Warbling Vireos - Red-crowned Kinglets - Red-breasted Nuthatch - Hermit Thrush - Pine Siskin - Common Yellowthroats, Wilson's, Townsend's, Northern Yellow, Yellow-rumped, one potential sordida ssp. Orange-crowned - 3 Western Tanagers - 1 Black-headed Grosbeak
The Northern Waterthrush continues at Middle Lake (second hand report)
Worth checking out the whole Chain of Lake and also the areas surrounding the lakes which are usually underbirded.
