People may have seen that PAS had to cancel their pelagic on September 20th due to mechanical issues with the boat (terrible timing). It’s been rescheduled for Sunday October 11th. There are a few tickets remaining. If you’re interested I recommend booking ASAP. It’s typically within the window of good birds and this year it might be interesting to see what this warmer water will bring. In other birding news I went to Clear Creek, Chilao and thought about going to Mt Wilson while parked at Red Box and heard exactly one distant Pinyon Jay over the whole day. Another data point for you Kimball ;). Ps thanks for posting info about prior irruptions and species to look out for. A reason the listserve is still an invaluable tool for local birders.
