There were at least 30 dead seabirds on San Gregorio Beach on Saturday during the Coastal Cleanup. I lost count after a while. Mostly Red-throated loons, but some Common Murres and shearwaters. This is much more than you would expect from natural attrition. The local wildlife rescue centers are overwhelmed.
