Weather: Some lake fog at first, clearing off by 9:30, a 2 tiered cloud cover, with low white puffy and high thin; a nice steady light NNE wind unil calm by 3:00; warm and mild, 52 - 67 F.
Raptor Observations: First bird was a kestrel that hovered overhead followed minutes later by another kestrel that hovered then stooped me and almost landed just yards away. The 3rd bird of the day was another falcon, this one a hulking Peregrine streaming past Mt. Major. It was a great falcon day, with a new single-day high count of 11. Another late Broad-wing fight with the biggest kettle of the day at 3:10. A good species list with 10 raptors.
Non-raptor Observations: Towhees are still calling, visits by bluebirds and a Hermit Thrush, 6 Monarchs.
