While the tea kettle was heating, I stepped out on the porch with binoculars. First bird was an American Redstart. Then, I saw Northern Parula, Hooded and Blackburnian Warblers. The regular Northern Cardinals were joined by 5 Eastern Towhees, 6 White-breasted Nuthatches and several singing Carolina Wrens. A wonderful start to a September morning!
