A little after noon today I parked in the lower lot below the ranger station and very shortly after heard and recorded Pinyon Jays somewhere in the area, which includes a hillside with pines on it. Not the best recording but it seemed pretty obvious that's what it was. Later saw them flying together but not close enough to photo.
