The Sunday migration bird walk produced 48 species on September 20, at Ft. Harrison State Park, Indianapolis. It was birdy but the bird took full advantage of hiding behind leaves. Highlights included two Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Blue-headed Vireo, at least four Philadelphia Vireos, two Scarlet Tanagers, and eleven warbler species.
Many warblers were seen well, but briefly, and others were just seen quickly as they flew away. The complete list is shown below. There will be a bird walk each Sunday morning in September and October at Ft. Harrison. Meet at 8am in the NE corner of Delaware Lake parking lot.
