Visitors: 62. One poor lady, she couldn't see the kettle I was counting out loud. "Where are they?", she cried, missing the spectacle. "Up in the sky.", I answered. "Are they flying?", she asked. "Yes, maam, they are flying."
Weather: Clear to start followed by increasing high clouds; light NE wind turning SW by 11:40, calm at times; 49 - 62 F.
Raptor Observations: Ospreys and Sharp-shins got off to an early start but Broad-wings didn't get going until the 10 o'clock hour and then slowed way down in the afternon. The day was saved by a late surge starting at 2:45 with kettles and streamers along the east side. I have reason to believe this will be the peak day here for Broad-winged Hawks. I wanted to stay later but I had to get to my night job.
Non-raptor Observations: First siskin of the fall.
