Around 2pm this afternoon, Saturday, 19 September, I photographed an ACADIAN FLYCATCHER at Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown OKC, Oklahoma Co. It was actively fly-catching in subcanopy of crape myrtles and then mature oaks near the pergola. It did not vocalize during my observation. Although not rare regionally, it’s very rare locally in Oklahoma Co. and may be the first documented fall occurrence for the county.
Otherwise, it was relatively quiet for migrant landbirds but Ovenbird and Black-and-white Warbler continue from this morning.
