Early this morning we actually, finally saw a Spruce Grouse. And hard to believe, we saw two! It was standing on East Inlet Road exactly where Bob Quinn says it should be in his North Country birding book. And then a few hundred feet farther along, a second one showed up on the other side of the road. The two guys in the pick-up truck behind us who had to wait on the road while we enjoyed the birds were very happy for us.
