Subject: Re: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Siberian sand-plover
To clarify, the plover plus 2 semi-palm plovers moved down out of the dunes onto the flat part which is covered with tire tracks. The beach cleaner pushed the plover towards us and it finally flushed down to the waters edge. People walking on the beach flushed it twice more. Each time it moved a bit further south. Last I saw it, it was among numerous sanderlings and snowy plovers roosting among all the tire tracks. The position is south of where the pin drops have been, and was in front of the white sign. Walking out I see there are many of those white signs, so that may not be helpful. But only 100 yards south of the other pin drops.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
