I got more extensive views and some poor digibin photos shortly after originally posting, and I would say the warbler is definitely a hybrid and indeed looks good for Yellow-rumped x Townsend’s specifically.
It was near Bushtits for the duration of the encounter. I believe I heard the bird chipping but I never saw and heard it at the same time. I last saw it along the lake edge. After that the Bushtits started working their way uphill towards Circle Group Site. I heard probably the warbler chipping by the restrooms but I didn’t spot it. I wasn’t able to find the bird in the next 50 minutes.
