The day was better than yesterday bird wise. It is always good to see birds. An Ovenbird early on was the highlight of the day. Three recaptures where 2 of the three birds gained weight. The other was a Brown Thrasher did not gain weight. However, there are many hanging around the station throwing leaves with their bills looking for bugs. *25 New Banded Birds* Wilson's Warbler- 13 Orange-crowned Warbler- 2 Ovenbird- 1 N. House Wren- 1 Lincoln's Sparrow- 1 Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow- 2 Song Sparrow- 1 Green-tailed Towhee- 1 Spotted Towhee- 1 Swainson's Thrush- 2
*3 Recaptures* Brown Thrasher- 1 individual did not gain weight/mass; 1 gained almost a half of a gram. Swainson's Thrush banded 3 days ago gained over 4 grams.
