Thin fog this morning on the Derby bike path. The cattails are turning
brown, a phoebe just misses capturing a monarch with a loud snap of an
empty bill, and a nice array of avian species hungry from the night’s
migration flight. A black throated blue, two Merlins, a group of common
mergs on a feeding frenzy and a blue headed vireo topped my list. Still one
moment then a wave of life forms seem to drop in from nowhere and then
they’re gone.
