10 new species were added in August, which is above average for the month. The new species were Oak Ttmouse, Pomarine Jaeger, Common Tern, Long-tailed Jaeger, Phainopepla, Pectoral Sandpiper, Eastern Kingbird, Pink-footed Shearwater, Canada Warbler and Northern Saw-whet Owl.
