Weather: Cloudy with a light variable breeze and temps in the sixties. Conditions were very hazy. Rain started in the early afternoon, ending the count early.
Raptor Observations: The first few hours of the morning were filled with small groups of broad-wings that usually kettled up in the east before spilling over North Pack. A few kettles were nice and close! A couple Ospreys, one Peregrine Falcon, and twenty sharpies were the only other migrants. One sharpie was attracted by Gina and came in really close, to the delight of onlookers.
Non-raptor Observations: The first White-throated Sparrow hopped among the juncos. Other highlights included nine Chimney Swifts, a flock of Cedar Waxwings, and a flyover American Pipit. Monarchs have now passed last year's season tally of 512.
