I was just thinking about that this morning! I was at the Trestle Bridge on the Sammamish River Trail checking for salmon. No luck there - but I did hear 21 different birds! And observed some action in the river below. A pair of mallards getting frisky. There was bobbing, and preening. He had her pinned underwater, briefly. She didn't seem to care that he was not resplendent in breeding plumage.
