Subject: [cobirds] Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station Report-Bird Conservancy of the Rockies-September 17, 2026
What a difference a day makes! The banding olive grove was quiet today,
unless you count the Red-winged Blackbirds around. Three recaptures today
all increased weight by over .4 grams! That is a good amount since
yesterday's banding.
*13 New Birds Banded*
Wilson's Warbler- 4
Orange-crowned Warbler- 1
Hammond's Flycatcher- 1
Western Flycatcher- 1
Red-breasted Nuthatch- 1
Lincoln's Sparrow- 1
Blue Grosbeak- 1
Hermit Thrush- 1
Gray Catbird- 1
Brown Thrasher- 1

*3 Recaptures*
Dusky Flycatcher
Wilson's Warbler
Hermit Thrush

The banding station will be open tomorrow through Saturday at sunrise until
@ 11:45AM.
